The day without filler posting...

Hey, I'm actually going to talk! Not much, mostly to explain my continuing absence...

As a follow up to the baby squirrel post, Twiggy (that's her name) is with the animal rehabilitaion people, and is doing well. We may be able to release her and some squirrely friends near my friend's house, when she's old enough.

Now, why am I still absent? Because I feel like shit. I had to give up the squirrel, one of my mice died in my hands, I let down one of my friends when she needed me, I have one of my chronic infections (there might be more on that later), it's not getting better as quickly as usual, I can't go to the doctor a second time because I have no insurance, I can't have any caffeine, I have to cut back on sugar, I can't have fake sugars (the most popular one right now gives me serious kidney problems), I can't drink milk (because of the antibiotics), all that's in my house is milk and 'light' apple juice, my body's so focused on my kidnies and crap that I'm breaking out in little skin infections (my body's version of pimples) and itching, my depression and the crap that comes with it are dragging me down, and I feel like a failure who should just resign herself to a life at walmart.

Not to mention I've been a bitch today.

So... I guess I'm done whining, sorry.

hmmm, what makes my kidney sick... stress, caffeine, lack of sleep, fake sugars, too much sugar (that's just a theory), not enough to drink. Throw in that I get bacterial infections very easily (not easy to care for my piercings), and it's pretty much everything. I know what I should be doing to take care of myself, I just don't sometimes.

And I did smile. Thanks.

Don't worry about me too much, my parents are helping me, and it's finally beginning to get better. It just took 4 days of antibiotics. :P

so, dun get stressed!! j/k
pardon the late reply.

lack of sleep can sometimes deplete toxic substances, so more sleep many not help. then again, it depends on ur personal experience with it.

also, most all humans are at the very least semi-diurnal *daylight-inclined* and need to wake at least 3-4 hours after civil dawn..for optimal health, that is.

caffeine is tricky. personally allergic to coffee, but not caffeine per se..Cola has no effect on me. try to limit ur self to 2 glasses a day or somethin? depends on yer current intake though, rite? ;)

i never imbibe fake sugars, after getting in trouble fer taking waaay too much Diet Cola *1.5 litres @ a time*

water. i say, drink when ur thirsty, till ur comfortably full..but thats on an empty stomach. my normal intake is roughly 900 ml. yours is probably 600 ml, but its a rough guess.

on a relatively full stomach, i wouldnt go for more than 300 ml. cold water *not below 2 degress Celcius* is preferable cause the stomach absorbs it faster. don't overdo it; there is such a thing as too much water.

consider switching at least partially to mineral water since its 'heavy water' and therefore u will need to drink less of it, putting less strain on the internal organs. non-chlorinated and more importantly non-flouridated ones are the best!

bacteria iz the trickiest of the lot.for example, the potent stuff in my raw-meat diet actually heals my body and keeps me from contracting illness from other bacteria and viruses.

on the other hand, given ur kidney problem..im not sure know how the bacterial content of even *relatively* cooked food will affect you.

im guessing, there might be another player in this game. sodium chloride, or table salt. this is refined salt, and like refined sugar has no place in the human body.

i think salt may clog up yer kidney more effectively than most anything else, as it is a preservative, causes water retention and is very difficult to eliminate from the body.

limit table salt, but dont go cold turkey. not like its possible, with ur junk-food intake, but..

and keep in mind organic salt in meats, veggies, fruits are okay for you cause the molecular structure is different.

u might need sum healthy fats too; ideal sources include grass-fed beef and ocean-caught salmon. eggs have a bad ratio of omega 6 to 3 and may contribute to inflammation, thats why i dont recommend it..

also, u could try to pour a lil mineral water over the piercings as a final rinse, but since i dont have any of those i really cannot say fer sure.

hope some o' this helped, girl. do tell how it goes?

I need sleep... I know I do. I'm just one of those people. ...and I like it ;)

I try to wake and sleep when my body tells me too... I only stay up as late as I do because my mind won't let me sleep. I would go to bed betwenn midnight and one, and wake up around 10 or 11 am, if I could. That's the system that has always worked best for me.

I am hyper-sensitive to caffeine... When I get it, I might get very energetic, I might get very sleepy, or I might get very sick to my stomach. I never know. So I'm actually not supposed to have much more than I get through my chocolate and iced teas and such, but I started drinking mountain dew to get through my work days faster. Caffeine is dehydrating, too. Not good for me.

I get some aspertame through candies and sodas, but not much. It's sucralose (Splenda is the brand) that I have to avoid. I researched it after I realized that it was being put in all my flavored waters and healthy drinks (because I was sudden;y getting sick from them, but I couldn't stop drinking them)... it caused a lot of kidney problems in the rats they tested it on too, but they're trying to keep that info quiet. I think they should see if it's addictive...

I drink sodas, juices, milk, and flavored waters all day. Almost constantly. I know the sodas aren't so good for me, but they're more available. I get more liquids than anyone I know. I have to, I feel like crap if I don't. (I don't dehydrate very easily, though, I just feel less that good).
On a full stomach, I can drink about a liter of milk... or anything, really.
Except water. I can only drink vitamin waters and flavored waters... tap water and most bottled waters make me throw up. I'm not sure if it's the taste or what, but I just can't drink them.

Bacteria is a constant battle for me, unfortunatly. Different tests are giving different results, but I might have an antibiotic-resistant bacteria living in my body somewhere. I'm used to it, I know how to fight it usually.

Salt... salt is so yummy, but it is not currently agreeing with my body, so I've got my intake way back on that. I very rarely intentionally add salt to my foods. There's enough in my pre-made crap that I live off. ;) (here's a hint about my diet: my nurse mother has been saying for years that there's no scientific reason for me to be alive.)

For my piercings I use fresh benzylkonium HCL ... it's not ideal, but it's affordable, and highly effective when combined with the rest of my routine (water and sea salt are actually the best I believe...) : soap with triclosan and an astringent made from tea tree oil, used both normally and on/in my piercings.

I will consider the healthy fats though... I was just talking about those earlier.
I decided that when I rule the world, I will declare rotisserie chicken skins their own food group.

oh, ur sayin dat now, wait till ya get ta my age!! ::cough cough:: j/k hehe

ah, so ur sleep timings closely match mine back in college, but u wake later *hence, more sleep* which iz a good thing ;)

okay, this explains why ur a lil dehydrated. if u wanna know, mineral water hydrates better than distilled or the tap variety. something to do with the minerals enabling one to drink slightly less for the same benefits..oh yeah, they can help strengthen bones too!!

cover-up? thats normal in many industries of da same ilk. what consumers need to do is insist on reviewing the studies in more detail. that should keep em' on their toes..

hmmm. interesting how u can only consume flavored + vitamin waters..cant say from this distance what the real problem is. my sis is the same way too, but prefers tap water to mineral (!!)

there was this program on Discovery or somethin where they found that tape-worm living in the bodies of some South American children prevented illness and some kids got violently ill upon their removal. i dont suggest swallowing them though, thats even a lil beyond me!!!

no scientific reason..hmmm. im in a risk category myself fer consumption of raw meats..then again, ive never gotten that sick from it. sodium chloride can cause problems for the body though..depending on da person. will post on that sometime, remind me if i forget, ja?

wow..okay i think u got yer piercings covered. me would have real problems with those cause i overheat easily.

my close pal often likes to point out that the best soapy-solution fer the human body iz still undiluted boric acid!!! lol hes kidding, of course..

mmmm..rotisserie. oh no, we're in agreement..again!!
