Why I hate the state I live in, a fairy tale.

Once upon a time there was a man who had a blog focusing mainly on issues relevant to his state. He was a smart but sarcastic man, and some felt that occasionally he may have said to much, but in this state it was usually okay to speak your mind. Your story teller would say more about him, but she only recently learned of his existence.

One day, this man was viewing his state's pathetic excuse for a tourism advertising campaign. He was concerned... we were giving this company a lot of money for a lot of crap. That was not cool in New England. Then he noticed the worst part... the phone number featured on the ad was not a tourism phone number at all. It was... of an adult nature.

So he let us know! He posted in his blog about this blunder, criticizing

the Office of Tourism, and the advertising agency. Wouldn't you think that was reasonable?

Unfortunately, neither our state nor the advertising agency think so. The agency has filed a multi-million dollar federal lawsuit against this man.

It's looking like he'll win though, he's got some lawyers with experience and a perfect track record on the matter.

And the first ammendment slowly goes down the drain...

Why can't I live in a state where something funny happens?

"About 50 cars on the lot of a used auto parts store were destroyed by vandals who used front-end loaders to fling and flatten the automobiles.

"The vandals -- who witnesses saw destroying the cars over the weekend -- caused about $100,000 worth of damage, police said.

"The owner of LaJoies Used Auto Parts says the keys were left in the ignition of the loaders.

"The string of vandalism didn't end until one loader got stuck on top of a Lincoln Continental..."

Turned out to be 5 kids, a 12 year old and some 13 year olds... That had to have been worth being arrested. :)
