I'd appreciate it...

if everyone prayed or whatever it is you do for my grandmother and all the other people in New England who are being displaced by flooding.

Right now, my grandmother's house, her car, her antique furniture, her everything, is under about 2 feet of water. It was up to her knees before she left... right now she's in a hotel that's over $100 dollars a night, and we don't know when she'll be able to go home. We don't even know when her home will be liveable again. The woman is 80 years old, and a lot of her friends, and consequently their families, are going through this too. I gather from the news that their disaster relief ppl are really helping, doing quite a bit, but it's a matter of figuring out how to get that help, and what she's going to do.

I'm worried about my area too... the rain is stopping, finally (a week+ of downpour, it hasn't been like this in years). There's a flood watch right now, apparently... I was just checking the 'watches, warnings, advisories' page. We've only seen minor flooding so far, by the river, and on roadways, but they're worried about more today I guess. There's a low pressure system coming up from long island, and I actually know what that means.

The sun just broke through a little! That's pretty cool after so much rain it broke my windsheild wipers.

Starry, Hi!
wow, that's really to bad for your grandmother. i know a few really old people in their 80's & up. Things like that are really hard for them.

We are used to alot of rain here in the Pacific Northwest. Nothing like that...

I hope everything works out O.K. :)
